Meet Chef Jo
Born in Virginia and raised in the “Mushroom Capital of the World,” Kennett Square, Chef Jo has been immersed in the art of cooking for over 15 years. Her culinary journey began in her childhood as her father’s eager taste tester and her great-grandmother’s kitchen companion. After school, she would hop off the bus and be greeted by her great-grandmother’s soulful cooking, a foundation that instilled in her a deep love for Southern cuisine—food that speaks to the heart and instantly makes you fall in love.
Chef Jo’s impressive career includes time as a sous chef at The Capital Grille and as a banquet sous chef at the prestigious Carnegie Museum of Natural History, where she perfected her craft preparing meals for weddings, museum executives, and more. Her experience spans nearly every role in a restaurant, from front to back of house, building a wealth of knowledge and honing her skills in every corner of the industry.
When she’s not crafting memorable dishes, Chef Jo enjoys spending time with her beloved fur baby, Jaxson, and exploring her love of music. Her ultimate dream is to share her passion for food with the world through a traveling food truck, blessing one state at a time with her creations that bring people together.
With dedication to her craft and a heart full of Southern charm, Chef Jo is more than a chef—she’s a storyteller, using food to create connections and lasting memories.
